I was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar... no seriously I was working in the motor trade for over twenty years but I’ve always had a passion for fitness, and you would always find me in a gym or a club or out running ever since I left school.
In 2004 my dad lost his battle to cancer and I was unhappy just going through life’s motions without going forwards in any areas of my life.
Then in 2006 I started working my way through the personal trainer qualifications and it gave me just what I needed, I finally knew who I was and where I needed to go.
I started teaching classes and gaining clients at numerous gyms whilst still working my old day job.
Then in 2009 whilst recovering from knee surgery I decided to wave goodbye to my old life and I set up at the local YMCA along with my private gym in Horley and these then became my home.
Many years later I’m still training and teaching classes and clients only with a lot more qualifications and a whole wealth of knowledge that only life experience and further education can provide.
I’m a personal trainer with the usual level 3 qualifications, and I have two level 4 qualifications.
One is lower back pain management and the other corrective exercise instructor. Other qualifications include Ante/post natal exercise, advanced core stability, kettlebells, GP referral I also have teaching certificates.
I enjoy challenges from clients if there broken or injured or they want to get fit, lose weight or train for a specific event.
I have been fortunate over the years to have participated in the London marathon and other shorter runs, I have cycled many event including Paris, the Alps, and the South Downs.
I enjoy road and trail cycling, weight, bodyweight and kettlebell training, Krav Magda, Pilates and yoga.
